Biography
What is your professional or academic background and how did it help
you arrive at ob体育靠谱足球下载?
I started my career in publishing as an ad planner for print newspapers, but
quickly decided to pursue more digitally focused roles when I noticed the
growing trend towards Digital Marketing in the news industry. I then moved to a
Digital Marketing role in the Financial Services industry. I would use Search
Engine Optimisation, Paid Media and Conversion Rate Optimisation to generate
business online. This taught me to be commercially focused and showed me the
importance of using these disciplines together.
I studied marketing at university and was really inspired by consumer
psychology and the way data is used to understand customers. I have specialist
qualifications in Data Driven Marketing through the Institute of Data and
Marketing. This qualification taught me how to use data to develop a deep
understanding of a customer and how to target them effectively.
What is it about Digital Marketing that you find interesting?
I enjoy analysing and solving problems. Digital Marketing enables me to flex
these skills and get a greater understanding of customers through data analysis.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I choose to work in Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) because it is focused on
the customer and uses data to figure out how they consume online. I enjoy
understanding why people do what they do online, solving their problems and
making things less difficult for them.
What do you like doing when not at work?
When I am not at work, I enjoy playing guitar and going to the gym. I am also
Mental Health First Aid Qualified and a huge advocate for mental health in the
workplace.
